FIXED GAS DETECTION SOLUTION IN THE ENVIRONMENT OF ELEVATOR SHAFTS
Enclosed spaces such as elevator shafts should be monitored to ensure that the enclosed or confined space can be safely entered if necessary. Indoor air quality contaminants may include, but are not limited to, inert, flammable, and toxic gases. An elevator shaft is a space that an individual does not normally enter, so it must have a safe atmosphere and the necessary oxygen levels. The elevator shaft and surrounding areas can be monitored using continuous gas detectors that do not require oxygen to operate.
MONITORED SHAFT TYPES
- Elevator shafts
- Engine rooms
- Ventilation shafts
- Conduit
- Vaults
- Device covers
- Storage spaces
- Side shafts
DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE EQUIPMENT OR TO THE CENTER
Our fixed gas detectors can be connected directly to a building’s alarm system to ensure that lift shafts can be continuously monitored for specific gas level conditions. We have also connected our lift shaft gas monitoring systems to audiovisual pre-alarm indicators, including sirens/beacons. All of our equipment is IECEx certified, so you can be sure you meet all enclosed space regulations.
A PERSONAL SOLUTION FOR GAS DETECTION
We also supply personal gas detectors to monitor the confined space atmosphere for any problematic gas species. The detectors have IP 68 protection and allow 3 years of continuous use without the need for charging. The user can therefore rest easy, because with such a long service life without recharging, the detector is always ready.
